The Hobby Area District’s **Apartments & Businesses for Crime Prevention (ABC) Committee** is once more bringing together community leaders, business owners, property managers, law enforcement partners, and residents for an important conversation about safety, crime prevention, and community collaboration.

We are honored to welcome **Judge Jo Ann Delgado**, Justice of the Peace for Harris County Precinct 2, Place 1, as our featured guest speaker. Judge Delgado will share valuable insights on community engagement, public safety, and resources available to residents and businesses throughout our area.

✨ A fresh new look for the Hobby Area District! ✨

If you’ve recently traveled along Airport Boulevard, Broadway Street, or entered the area from I-45, you may have noticed our newly installed Hobby Area District gateway signs.

These new markers help create a stronger sense of place, showcase community pride, and welcome residents, businesses, and visitors to one of Houston’s most important gateways.

With the FIFA World Cup festivities beginning this week, we are excited to continue enhancing the District’s visibility and creating a welcoming first impression for the thousands of visitors who will experience our community.

Safety, collaboration, and communication were at the heart of last week’s ABC (Apartments & Businesses for Crime Prevention) meeting at the Hobby Area District office.

Community partners, business owners, property managers, law enforcement, and public agencies came together to discuss the upcoming FIFA World Cup efforts and strategies to help support any public safety concerns, the current beautification efforts, and to address issues such as our unhoused population and encampments in our area.

The Differential Response Team shared how they work alongside other HPD agencies, the Constables office, and local stakeholders to connect individuals to services while addressing community concerns in a proactive and compassionate way.

We invite you all to join us at our next meeting and become a part of the movements and initiatives that the Hobby Area District is supporting through community and partner collaborations.

Every interaction matters, every partnership has impact, and when we work collaboratively, we build a safer, stronger, and more connected community for everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the attendees, partners, and community leaders whose participation, insights, and commitment help make these meetings so meaningful and successful.
