Happy Friday Briarmeadow! The Fall Festival is ONE MONTH away, and we are getting SO excited! Mark your calendars for October 24th from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM because not only is it the most fun day of the year, it’s also an important fundraiser for our school!

Did you know we have A CLAW MACHINE?

Did you know we have COLORED HAIRSPRAY?

Did you know we have MANY other booths and attractions that ALL need sponsorship? We need your help to make the Fall Festival happen!

We’ve been reaching out to our business-owning family and friends for sponsorships, but did you know families can sponsor a booth, too?! 🙌

Imagine seeing your family name on booth signage or featured on our Fall Festival T-shirt for everyone to see!

There are lots of fun ways to participate:
🩷Sponsor a booth as a family
🩵Team up with other families to create a larger attraction
🧡Get a group of classmates together and put your favorite teacher’s name on the sign! 👩‍🏫🍎

The BCS PTO is celebrating National Coffee Day on Tuesday, September 29, with our Carline Café!! Families can buy a $5 iced coffee (or tea!) at the carline next Tuesday from 2 to 3 pm. Today through 8:30 am Tuesday, you can also treat your teacher or favorite staff member to a drink by preordering here:
https://briarmeadowpto.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/15648

The funds raised from the 2026 Carline Café will be used to help transform and brighten the nurses’ station, creating a warm, welcoming space where children can feel a little happier and more comfortable when they’re having a difficult day.

Coffee will be delivered to staff in the morning of National Coffee Day, Tuesday, Sept 29. Students will receive their beverage by afternoon. Preordering is only for staff and MS students.

In 2025, families enjoying the Carline Café raised nearly $800, which our middle school art students used to pay for the paint and materials for a mural of their design and creation now viewable in the cafeteria. The mural reads Bronco Bistro!

Want to help deliver drinks during the day or at the carline? Join the Bronco Dasher group chat here to get involved: https://groupme.com/join_group/110562484/31DRKlXU

Last week, the Bronco Buggy made its first round of the year, delivering snacks and drinks to our teachers for an afternoon surprise! Thank you to our parent volunteers who brought the joy, and thank you to our families who have made donations to the BCS PTO to fund classroom and schoolwide improvements — including this small gesture to brighten our teachers’ day!

Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) begins today—a time to honor the rich heritage, legacy, leadership, and people who make this community strong. ✨ Nosotros somos de aquí (We’re From Here) is the theme all month as HISD highlights the students, educators, alumni, and principals shaping schools and the future of Houston. 🚀

Bronco families, don’t miss Open House & IB Night this Thursday, September 17, from 5 to 6:30 pm.

Open House is an opportunity for families to visit the campus, meet their child’s teachers, learn more about classroom expectations and instruction, and see what students are learning. Families can ask questions, explore classrooms, and connect with staff as we continue building a strong partnership between home and school.

In the Multi-Purpose Room, you can attend brief presentations from Principal Jones and our PYP & IB Specialist Lindsay Flor throughout the evening.

At Open House, you’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about upcoming BCS PTO happenings in our Bronco community, including:
—2026 BCS Fall Fest
—Spirit Wear
—Academic Enrichment Fund
—Volunteering for upcoming family events and more

We had a wonderful turnout at last week’s Grandparents & Special Friends Day, filled with joy and fun for our students to spend time with family and friends. We celebrated our “Grand Adventures” in style!

🙌 A huge thanks to our committee of parent volunteers who brought the magic and creativity to this year’s luncheon!
