We’re recapping a day that we will hold close to our hearts for years to come!

After two months of dreaming, planning, building, and watching this space transform, we officially opened the doors to the An-Nisa Community Center, a place created for our community to connect, learn, grow, and belong.

None of this would have been possible without our beautiful community of supporters who believed in this vision and made the buildout of this center possible. To every donor, volunteer, contractor, partner, staff member, and friend who gave their time, resources, duas, and support: this space exists because of you.

We were deeply honored to welcome Shaykh Omar Suleiman as our special guest and to celebrate this new chapter surrounded by so many of the people who have walked alongside An-Nisa throughout the years.

And the day brought another beginning, Khanvo Coffee officially opened its doors inside the An-Nisa Community Center, creating another little space for conversation, connection, and community.

Our hearts are full. Our doors are open. And, inshaAllah, this is only the beginning.
Welcome to the An-Nisa Community Center. All are welcome!

Who said parenting workshops can’t be fun? 😍🏠

Parents learn practical tools they can use immediately like pausing before reacting and asking, “I can see you’re overwhelmed. What’s one step you can take first?”

Children enjoy their own special session, and then families come together for laughter, love, hands on challenges, meaningful conversations and a little friendly competition! 😄

Come for the tools. Stay for the fun. Leave feeling closer as a family. ❤️

Keep an eye out for our next session you won’t want to miss it!

Alhamdulillah, what a beautiful conclusion to our Conscious Parent Series! ❤️🏠

Saturday began with parents and youth learning separately in Building the Home They Remember—exploring how to look beneath behavior, maintain healthy boundaries, build responsibility, and repair after difficult moments.

They then came together for The Home We Build Together, putting these tools into practice through hands-on family challenges filled with laughter, love, reflection, and problem-solving.

Together, families built one shared home:

❤️ What We Value
☁️ What Gets in the Way
⭐ How We Act
🧩 How We Heal

We were reminded that behavior is communication and that understanding what lies underneath does not remove accountability—it helps us respond more effectively.

Seeing every family contribute showed us that strong homes are not built in isolation. It takes parents, youth, and a caring community learning, supporting, and growing together.

May Allah fill our homes with love, mercy, understanding, and barakah. Ameen. 🤲🏼
