What does ALOHA mean?

Aloha is more than just a greeting—it’s a way of living and treating others with kindness and respect. Each letter represents a value we can carry with us every day:

A – Akahai (Kindness)
L – Lōkahi (Unity)
O – ʻOluʻolu (Respect)
H – Haʻahaʻa (Humility)
A – Ahonui (Patience)

As we continue growing together as a school community, we can all practice the spirit of ALOHA by showing kindness, working together, and lifting one another up.

Let’s carry ALOHA in our hearts—at school, at home, and everywhere we go!

The Juneteenth flag symbolizes the Juneteenth holiday in the United States. The first version was created in 1997 by activist Ben Haith and displayed that year. The present version was first flown in 2000. The flag's colors and symbols represent freedom and the end of slavery. The date on the flag refers to General Order No. 3, issued in Galveston, Texas, in 1865. In 2020 and 2021, many states began recognizing Juneteenth by flying the flag over their state capitol buildings; President Joe Biden declared it a federal holiday in June 2021.

Did you know that Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States? From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond. Today, Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement.

Are you enjoying the World Cup?

There is something powerful about soccer—it brings people together across languages, cultures, and communities. It reminds us that the game is bigger than the field; it is about connection, passion, and HEART.

And behind every strong team is a coach who believes, guides, and inspires. Coaches shape more than athletes—they build confidence, character, and unity.

A special shoutout to our very own Coach Fernandez and Coach Dudley for building a team that plays with true HEART. Your leadership shows in every pass, every play, and every moment on the field. Go Owls! ⚽💙
