During the first days of school, our campers focus on learning routines, building community, and practicing classroom expectations.🏕️

KIPP Texas Public Schools provides free breakfast and lunch every day for all students! Our cafeteria offers a variety of nutritious options to help students stay energized and ready to learn.

If you pack snacks in your child’s lunchbox, please talk with them about going through the cafeteria line first and enjoying a balanced meal before eating snacks such as chips, candy, or sugary cookies.

Please remind your child to visit the cafeteria lunch line daily—we want every student to have the fuel they need for a successful day!

Families, Let’s Make Arrival & Dismissal Smooth!
Please take five minutes today to review our arrival and dismissal procedures. Knowing the correct times, entrances, and expectations will help run things smoothly for everyone!

Arrival Reminder
Students in PK3 AM through 5th grade who arrive after 7:25 a.m. may not be dropped off in the back of the school or left unattended.

Families must park, walk late-arriving students to the front office, and sign them in.

Students must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings under age 18 are not considered adults.

Morning Entry
PK3, PK4, and GAIN students will enter through Door A13.

PK4 students who need breakfast may walk to the cafeteria after entering through Door A13.

Kindergarten through 5th-grade students will enter through the cafeteria.

Students who would like breakfast must arrive in the cafeteria by 7:15 a.m.

Dismissal Reminders
Early dismissal is not available after 2:00 p.m.

Every scholar must be released using their HEART dismissal card.

If you do not have your HEART, you will need to go to the front office and show identification so staff can verify that you are authorized to pick up your child.

🏕️ Welcome to Kindergarten Camp Out—where our class feels like family!

A special shout-out to Ms. Cooper for creating a warm, loving classroom community where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Through her care and dedication, she is building strong relationships and helping our little campers feel safe, confident, and ready to learn each day.

Reminder: If you need to pick up your child’s HEART or request additional HEARTs, the front office is open Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A HEART is required to pick up your student during dismissal. If you do not have your HEART yet, please bring a valid form of identification and speak with a staff member on the walkers’ side. Our team will verify your name in the system.

Please remember: You must be listed as an authorized person to pick up the student.

To help make morning arrival safe and smooth, please review the designated entry doors for your camper:

Kindergarten–5th Grade: Students should enter through Door A16 in the cafeteria.

PK4: Students who have already eaten breakfast at home may enter through Door A13. Students who need breakfast should enter through the cafeteria before heading to class.

PK3: Students must enter through Door A13.

Happy First Day of School, KIPP CONNECT Primary! 🎉

We are thrilled to welcome our amazing scholars back for a joyful and exciting start to the new school year! The energy throughout the building is electric—filled with smiles, laughter, curiosity, and the excitement of reconnecting with friends and teachers.

A huge thank you to our incredible families for your continued support and partnership. Your encouragement helps make today—and every day—a success!

Dismissal Reminders

Dismissal may take a little longer today as our scholars learn their dismissal numbers and new routines. Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure every child gets home safely.

Car riders will enter through the arrival gate.

Walkers will line up at the Tarnef Gate.

Families must have their HEART or a valid form of identification.

Families without a HEART will need to wait until the end of dismissal while we check records.

Families are not permitted to enter campus during dismissal, except for PK3 families picking up their children.

The front office will be closed during dismissal time.

Your cooperation, patience, and kindness make all the difference as we help our scholars learn their new routines. Here’s to a school year filled with learning, growth, joy, and meaningful connections!
