This Madison County School System campus social media page aims to share important information about the district and campus with the public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accomplish this goal, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

- Want to boost your product sales? Publish a personal page, and leave ours for sharing news and insights about our district.

- Stay on topic. This page is dedicated to educating students in the Madison County School System and this school. Comments are welcome as long as they directly relate to a topic.

- Have a question for a specific employee? Contact them privately. Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment on this page.

- Be aware of the mission. The mission of Madison County School System and this school is education. Please ensure your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages.

- Be factual; blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. MCSS social media managers will remove false information and post accurate information.

Support Knapp Orthopedics as they support us!

Knapp Orthodontics has officially begun its annual Tools for Schools supply drive NOW through August 7th! This year we have selected Mt. Carmel Elementary School school as our beneficiary! All donations will enter you into a drawing for a gift card from our office.

Instructions:
1. Bring one or more new/unused school supplies into one of our locations (Owens Cross Roads or Wi******er Rd) during our office hours.
2. Hand to the front desk.
3. Write your name down on the provided slip of paper in the front lobby & add it to the bowl.

And that’s it! Thank y’all so much for helping us give back to the schools that built us. 📚✂️✏️📓

- MCSS 2 HOUR DELAY - JUNE 8, 2026 -

Madison County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, June 8, due to potential flooding and hazardous road conditions across portions of our district.

While traditional classes are not currently in session, this delay may impact summer learning programs, student activities, district operations, and any transportation services operating tomorrow. Buses will run two hours later than their normal schedule.

District officials will continue to monitor conditions and reassess roadways early tomorrow morning. If any additional changes become necessary, families and staff will be notified as soon as possible.

Please remain weather aware and travel safely.

Mt. Carmel welcome Mrs. Carpenter to the Wildcat Family!

Mrs. Carpenter is a Huntsville native with 13 years of experience in public education. After graduating from the University of Alabama with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, she began her career teaching 2nd and 3rd grades in both the Huntsville City and Madison County School Districts. Most recently, she has spent the past five years serving as a Math Coach at Lynn Fanning Elementary.

During her time as a Math Coach, she partnered with educators to strengthen instructional practices, led professional developments, and worked to cultivate a collaborative culture centered on student achievement. Mrs. Carpenter’s educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that continuous learning is essential for students, for educators, and for school leaders. That conviction led her to pursue her master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama and has shaped her commitment to developing and supporting strong teachers and high-performing learning communities.

On the home front, Mrs. Carpenter and her husband are raising two spunky, smart, and beautiful daughters. They enjoy traveling, gardening, and cooking together.

Mrs. Carpenter is extremely proud and excited to begin her journey as a Wildcat! She looks forward to getting to know the Mt. Carmel community as she leads and serves as our Assistant Principal.
