At Snake River Animal Shelter, our mission is to improve and save animal lives by promoting quality care and compassion through adoption and humane education in the region. We are the only non-profit animal sheltering facility serving all East Idaho, and we strive to implement innovative programs to alleviate the overpopulation of unwanted pets. Meet Shaggy! This 12-year-old Cattle Dog traded in his work boots for a plush bathrobe yesterday! He had a date with the groomer, and took his glow-up very seriously. No more dusty farm dog look for him - he’s clean, he’s soft, and his coat is shining like a million bucks. 🧼✨

But wait, the glow up gets better! Shaggy also had a dental checkup and cleaning and was given a clean bill of health for his teeth. Talk about a million dollar smile! 🦷😁✨

Shaggy spent a lifetime working hard, and now he’s ready for a retirement home where his only job description is showing off that bright smile, napping on the couch, and looking dapper. 🛋️❤️

Shaggy is the total package, and now he just needs a fur-ever home to spend his golden years. Could your couch be the one? 🏡🐾

Shaggy is an affectionate senior who has completely won over the hearts of our staff since arriving at Snake River Animal Shelter. This sweet boy recently had a dental procedure and is currently cleared of any dental disease, so he's feeling great and ready to find his forever home!

Shaggy enjoys the simple things in life - soft pets, tasty treats, and spending time with his favorite people. He has a calm, easygoing personality and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.
