Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls warmly and professionally, connecting callers with the appropriate team member, and communicating with clients, families, and caregivers. You will also be tasked with following up with prospective clients, calling caregiver applicants, and completing initial phone screenings. Additionally, you will document information accurately in our computer systems, assist with general front desk and administrative duties, and help maintain an organized and welcoming office.

Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls warmly and professionally
- Connect callers with the appropriate team member
- Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers
- Follow up with prospective clients
- Call caregiver applicants and complete initial phone screenings
- Document information accurately in our computer systems
- Assist with general front desk and administrative duties
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming office

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Kind, compassionate, and patient
- Friendly and confident on the phone
- A strong communicator and listener
- Comfortable with computers and learning new software
- Organized and able to multitask
- Dependable and detail-oriented
- Professional, positive, and genuinely enjoys helping people

Experience:
Previous office, customer service, healthcare, or senior-care experience is a plus, but who you are matters just as much as your experience. We can teach our systems. We’re looking for someone who naturally treats people with kindness and understands that sometimes the way you make someone feel is the most important part of the conversation.

Hi, I’m Melissa! I’m the Office Manager at Visiting Angels of Eastern Idaho. 💙

Healthcare has been my passion for nearly my entire life. I started working in senior care at just 16 years old in a PCS setting, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to grow my experience in home health, hospice, skilled nursing, senior living, and now home care.

I’m a licensed Idaho Assisted Living Administrator, a CNA, and have worked in Marketing, Scheduling, Administration, and Business Office Management. I like to call myself a “jack of all trades” because I truly enjoy jumping in wherever I’m needed!

What I love most about my job is helping people. Whether I’m supporting our clients, their families, or our amazing caregivers, it’s incredibly rewarding to know I can make a positive difference in someone’s day.

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my loved ones or enjoying the outdoors. I love camping, but my ultimate happy place is sitting on a beach by the water. I’m also a proud cat mom to four spoiled cats who keep life entertaining!

A fun fact about me? If I were stranded on a deserted island, I’d be perfectly happy as long as I had pickles and peanut butter! 🥒🥜

I’m so grateful to be part of the Visiting Angels family and to work alongside a team that shares my passion for helping others. Every day is another opportunity to make a meaningful difference, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. ❤️

✨ Meet the Team! ✨

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m one of the owners and CEO of Visiting Angels of Eastern Idaho.

I grew up in Egin, Idaho, just down the road from the sand dunes. I spent my childhood outside, no matter the season, and I still love being outdoors. Today, I live in Hamer, down a dirt road and across from a wildlife refuge. I tried living in town once, but that didn’t last long. I’m a country girl at heart!

My favorite thing in the world is my family, my husband, my children and their spouses, who fit so perfectly it feels like they were always meant to be ours, and my grandbaby. Being a grandma quickly became my favorite title and one of life’s greatest blessings. ❤️

I’m happiest when my house is full of the people I love. Maybe that’s why I love cooking so much, mention a home-cooked meal, and the kids find their way home pretty quickly!

I LOVE Christmas! My house looks like the North Pole, the whole gang comes home for a sleepover, and we eat, play games, wear matching jammies and laugh well into the night.
I love to travel and want to see as much of this beautiful world as possible. I love fly fishing, my fainting goats and getting lost in a good book. I love meeting new people and can talk to anyone! I believe connection is so important, it is the foundation of our amazing community.

I’ll eat pretty much anything I can put ketchup on, which may actually make ketchup my favorite food. 🤔 Orange is my favorite color, and I love a good dad joke, the cornier, the better!

Last, but certainly not least, I LOVE what I do. I’ve spent my entire adult life caring for seniors and have worked in nearly every aspect of senior care. Every role and every person I’ve cared for has helped lead me here. This has never felt like just a career; I know it’s my calling. I love helping families when they don’t know what to do next and watching the relationships between our clients and Angels change lives. Our Angels and the love they give so freely mean the world to me. They truly are my heroes.

Family, a full house, a career I’m passionate about, and apparently... ketchup. That’s me. ❤️
