We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the City of Ingram and our amazing community and those from outside our area for your incredible support of the Ingram Police Department’s Blue Santa program this year.

Your generosity, participation, and kindness were truly inspiring. Because of you, countless families — and especially the kids — felt the joy and magic of the season.

We appreciate every single one of you who helped make this possible.

Blue Santa 2025 - Ingram Police Department

The Ingram Police Department proudly hosted the Blue Santa 2025 program, delivering Christmas gifts to more than 30 children in our community. This annual initiative is dedicated to supporting families in financial need, ensuring every child experiences the joy of the holiday season.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors near and far, we were able to provide a little extra cheer this year. Chief Dustin Breshears joined in the deliveries, personally visiting many homes, and even Santa himself made a special appearance before heading back to the North Pole.

We are grateful for the community’s support and thrilled to share the spirit of giving. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a joyful holiday season!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community Partners:

The Ingram Police Department extends its deepest gratitude to Tractor Supply and Kerrville Ranch & Pet Center, both in Kerrville, for their generous support of our K9 program. Their contributions demonstrate the strength of community partnership and the shared commitment to keeping Ingram safe.

Thanks to their generosity, our department is supported to continue utilizing our dual certified K9, Cezar — a highly trained partner who serves as both a narcotics detection dog and a patrol dog. For a small municipal police department like ours, this is an invaluable tool. The K9 enhances public safety by detecting illegal substances quickly and accurately, helping us remove dangerous drugs from our community. At the same time, the dog provides vital support to officers in high risk situations, offering protection during searches, arrests, and crowd control. Beyond enforcement, the K9 program also strengthens community engagement, as residents — especially students — connect with the dog during demonstrations and public events. And because the K9 is dual certified, our department gains the benefit of two specialized skill sets in one partner, making this a cost effective resource that maximizes our effectiveness without requiring multiple dogs.

At the beginning of November 2025, Chief Dustin Breshears became officially certified with Cezar, his new K9 partner, marking an important milestone in the program and reinforcing the department’s commitment to professional excellence.

This program represents a major step forward in our mission to protect lives, safeguard property, and strengthen community trust. We are proud to have the support of local businesses who believe in the importance of public safety and stand beside us in service to Ingram.

Sincerely,

Chief Dustin Breshears
