We had an incredible season this past year, and we cannot thank our friends and community enough for your continued support. Because of you, our students experienced a year full of growth, achievement, and unforgettable memories.
Below is a flyer highlighting some of our accomplishments we are so proud of what our students achieved and are excited as we look ahead to the new year!
The Musselman Band is excited to announce our Car Show Fundraiser happening on June 20!
This event will serve as our kickoff fundraiser to launch another amazing year of music, travel, and opportunities for our students and we need your support to get things rolling!
Bring out your classic cars, trucks, and custom rides, or just come enjoy a day filled with amazing vehicles, great company, and community spirit all while supporting the Applemen Band.
We cannot wait to see everyone there as we start another exciting chapter together.

Our Car Show on June 20 is racing toward us, and the energy is already incredible. We are ready for a day filled with music, community, shining chrome, and nonstop fun. We cannot wait to welcome everyone. Our new BOX TRUCK will be there too!
One of the biggest highlights will be our amazing basket raffle. Attached is a list of categorized donations we are asking our jazz, concert, and marching sections to bring. These items will help us build an outstanding collection of themed baskets that will surprise, delight, and offer something for every guest. From creative themes to community favorites, there will be many chances to win something special while supporting a wonderful cause.
Come enjoy the cars, enjoy the food, enjoy the music, and take a chance on our baskets. The atmosphere will be lively, the excitement will be real, and this event will be a celebration you will not want to miss.

Graduation Flashback ---- Musselman Band!!! These pictures popped up so had to re-share.
Oh my stars… where did the time go. One moment you were laughing in the band room, filling the halls with music and joy, and now you are out in the world serving, leading, building, and inspiring.
Military servicemen and women, doctors, lawyers, managers, leaders, doers....every one of you is making a difference in your communities and beyond. We are so proud of the paths you have taken.
Your giggles, your energy, and your love are still here in the walls of the MuHS band room. Thank you for the way you continue to serve society and lift others.

RANDY W. SMITH......THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for your remarkable $110,000 donation to the Musselman High School Band. This donation is made possible through the W. Randy Smith Family Fund at the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF.) This generous grant has allowed us to purchase a new 2025 FORD BOX TRUCK, complete with a custom future wrap by Davis Designs.
Applemen Band drum majors Benjamin Reynolds & Lucy Green met with Randy today at KENT PARSONS Ford, where Fred Parsons and Brett Wright assisted Randy in selecting the best vehicle to support our music program. This truck will serve our students for years to come, helping us reach competitions, festivals, and events with the so much room for confidence and pride.
Randy, your generosity reflects a true commitment to young people in activities. Our students, families, and the entire community are profoundly grateful for your support and for the ongoing impact of you and EWVCF across our region.
Thank you RANDY for this incredible donation and believing in us. Moreover, to the the wonderful people at KENT PARSONS FORD and EWVCF for helping us navigate our first very own box truck!

What a beautiful and memorable graduation ceremony. Thank you to all of our band booster volunteers and students for your work at the event. We appreciate your spirit and the care you put into preparing tents, managing concessions, and changing cans throughout the evening. On behalf of the Musselman Band, we want to express our sincere gratitude to every volunteer. We also want to extend a warm welcome to our new volunteer families. We hope you enjoyed being part of the band family community. Thank you all for everything you do.

The Musselman High School Band Boosters will be fully staffed and ready to serve at Denny Price Stadium at Waldeck Field on May 28 for the Class of 2026 graduation ceremony.!
We will also have three different types of flowers available for purchase so you can celebrate your graduate, recognize a favorite staff member, or treat someone special in the stands.
As a thank you to our amazing community, we will be making a 500 dollar donation to the Class Gift Fund following the ceremony.
We look forward to celebrating this special night with everyone. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Greetings Musselman Community!!!

As a reminder, the Musselman Band Boosters are fully stocked and ready to go to serve our celebrating families for graduation. Over 35 Volunteers will be working to keep the lines flowing as quickly as possible! The full menu from the main stand will be available as well as “grab and go” stations on both sides of the field. We also have 3 different flower options for sale at a dedicated flowers tent (samples included in this post).

Our plan is to open when the gates open at 4:30pm. Our goal is always to provide fast service at affordable prices while not sacrificing quality. We hope you enjoy what we have in store and remember… all options are available while supplies last!

Hear ye Hear Ye! DRUM MAJORS 2026!
We are proud to announce our 2026–2027 Applemen Marching Band Drum Majors: Benjamin Reynolds and Lucy Green!
Lucy is an incredibly talented and versatile musician, performing on piano in our advanced jazz band and playing percussion in both the marching band and symphonic band. Benjamin brings strong musical leadership as well, performing on bassoon in the symphonic band and alto saxophone in both the advanced jazz band and marching band.
Together, Benjamin and Lucy will lead the Applemen Marching Band on the field, in parades, and in competition. Their dedication, musicianship, and passion make them outstanding choices for this important role.
We are proud of all our students and their accomplishments, and we are excited to watch Benjamin and Lucy lead our ensembles in the year ahead!
