Thinking about a gap year, or just want to spend 6-12 months doing something different? Scout Adventures in the UK is recruiting for its 2027 Residential Volunteer Programme. 🇬🇧

Volunteers live and work at Gilwell Park or one of the other Scout Adventures centres in England, as part of an international team that helps more than 60,000 young people get outdoors each year. You’ll teach activities, help run the centre, and pick up new skills along the way.

Placements start in January and March 2027, and visa applications open 3 months before arrival, so if you’re interested, don’t wait too long. Learn more and apply at https://www.scoutadventures.org.uk/volunteer

Older youth members and young adults, this one’s for you. Know someone who’d love it? Tag them below!

The job is simple: help share what the Committee is up to and connect Scouts with chances to get involved in World Scouting. If you like taking photos, writing, or telling a good story, we’d love to hear from you. Apply by December 31st!

You need to be a registered Scouting America member. World Scouting experience helps, but you don’t need any. To apply, visit https://www.scouting.org/international/resources/open-call/

🌎 ILT11 is near!
For over a decade, the Interamerican Leadership Training has brought young leaders from across the Americas together to learn, connect, and grow. This January, it's coming to Mexico 🇲🇽

We're looking for young adults (ages 18–26) with real leadership experience and a heart for bringing what they learn back home - to share knowledge, help lead local trainings, and step into decision-making spaces within Scouting America and the wider Interamerican Region.

The application for Scouting America members isn't open yet, but keep your eyes on this page for the moment it drops! Know a young leader who's ready for this? Tag them below. 👇

📡🌐 Get ready, JOTA-JOTI is almost here!

October 16-18, Scouts from every corner of the globe will connect by radio or the internet for the world's largest international Scouting event. Councils everywhere are setting up Zoom calls with countries across the world, swapping cultures and stories — no passport required!

Meanwhile, Scouts in Virginia Headwaters Council (Louisa, VA) are catching a different kind of wave — radio waves! 📻 John is an adult leader with K2BSA (Scouting America's national Amateur Radio program). He shared with us how amateur radio connects Scouts with each other and builds their technical and leadership skills in the process. Plus, it's an activity for all ages!

This October, join in the fun and connect with Scouts around the world. Find a local radio club and see details at https://scouting.org/jota. Or contact your council’s International Representative today!
