The deadline for the Library Card Design contest has been extended to Saturday, June 6, by 4pm. You can download an application online or pick one up in person at the Library. There will be one winner from each age category: children (ages 1-12), teens (ages 13-17) and adults (ages 18+). Winning designs will be showcased on a new, limited edition, library card!

El plazo para el concurso de Diseño de Tarjetas de Biblioteca se ha extendido hasta el sábado 6 de junio a las 4 p.m. Puede descargar la solicitud en línea o recogerla en persona en la Biblioteca. Habrá un ganador en cada categoría de edad: niños (edades 1-12), adolescentes (edades 13-17) y adultos (edades 18 años o más). ¡Los diseños ganadores aparecerán en una nueva tarjeta de biblioteca de edición limitada!

Get ready! The Summer Reading Program at the Irwindale Public Library is almost here! BEGINNING JUNE 15, children, teens, and adults can pick up a reading log at the Irwindale Public Library to track their summer reading. Art and Writing Contest for City of Irwindale residents in grades Tk-12th! First prize is a $100 gift card. As our country celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, think about what makes the United States special to you. Create a poem, write an essay, draw a picture, or design a collage that imagines what our country might look like 50 years form now. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes available for each grade category: Tk-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, 6th-8th and 9th-12th. Pick up an application at the Irwindale Public Library. Winners will be announced Thursday, July 2nd, at the Music in the Park event from 7pm-9pm.

¡Concurso de Arte y Escritura para residentes de Irwindale en grados Tk a 12! Mientras nuestro país celebra 250 años desde la firma de la Declaración de Independencia, piensa en lo que hace que los Estados Unidos sea especial para ti. Crea un poema, escribe un ensayo, dibuja una imagen o diseña un collage que imagine cómo podría ser nuestro país dentro de 50 años. Se otorgarán premios al 1er, 2do y 3er lugar en cada categoría: Tk-1er, 2do-3er, 4to-5to, 6to-8vo y 9no-12vo. Recoge una solicitud en la Biblioteca Pública de Irwindale. Los ganadores se anunciarán el jueves 2 de julio en el evento Música en el Parque, de 7:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m.

Reminder to submit your artwork for the Library Card Design contest! The last day to turn in your design is June 1 by 7pm. You can submit your application in person at the Library or you can email it to [email protected]. This contest is open to all ages. One winner will be chosen from each age category: Children, ages 1-12; Teens, ages 13-17; and Adults, ages 18 and older. Winning designs will be showcased in a new, limited edition, library card! Winners will be announced at the New Library Grand Opening Event (date to be determined). Join us in celebrating the new library building by helping to create a new library card! Applications can be downloaded from the library website or you can pick one up in person from the Library. For more information please call the Library at (626) 430-2229.

Join us in celebrating the opening of our new Library by designing a new, limited edition, library card! This contest is open to Irwindale Public Library card holders and Irwindale residents. One winner will be selected from each age category (Children ages 1-12, Teens ages 13-27, and Adults ages 18 and older). Winners will be announced at the New Library Grand Opening Event (date to be determined). Please visit our website at www.irwindaleca.gov/615/Library to download the application or visit the library in person for a copy. You may submit your entry in person or through email by sending it to [email protected]. Deadline to submit is June 1, 2026 by 7 PM.
