Join us for a Lunch & Learn designed to help seniors AND their families better understand the resources, planning, and support available as we age.

You’ll hear directly from local professionals in elder law, insurance, senior care, and aging resources—and have the opportunity to ask the questions your family may not even know to ask yet.

💛 Happy National Senior Citizens Day! 💛

Today, we celebrate the seniors who have spent a lifetime building families, strengthening communities, sharing wisdom, and paving the way for generations to come.

At the Southside Senior Enrichment Council (SSEC), honoring seniors isn’t something we do just one day a year — it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to help local seniors live with greater dignity, safety, connection, and support by providing education, resources, financial assistance, and a community that cares.

Today is also a wonderful reminder to check in on the seniors in your life. Make the phone call. Stop by for a visit. Ask if they need a hand. Listen to their stories. Sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference. 💛

To all of the seniors in our community: we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you today and every day.

We’re officially about 30 days away from our Passing the Baton Caregiver Education Event! 💛

If you’re caring for an aging loved one, helping a senior navigate their next chapter, or simply want to learn more about the resources available in our community, we would love to have you join us.

This event is completely FREE and open to the community and will feature a panel of local professionals sharing valuable education, resources, and answers to questions many caregivers and families face.

Today is National Nonprofit Day! 💛

At the Southside Senior Enrichment Council, we are dedicated to improving the lives of seniors in our community through education, financial support, meaningful resources, and connection.

We feel incredibly lucky to do this work alongside a group of people who genuinely care about making a difference. From our board members and members to our volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters—every person who participates in our mission plays a part in helping local seniors feel supported, valued, and connected.

Today is a reminder to celebrate the people behind nonprofit work—the ones who give their time, share their knowledge, make connections, lend a helping hand, and continue showing up for their communities. You should be proud of the difference you make every day. 💛

We’re grateful for how far SSEC has come and even more excited about the impact we can continue to make together.
