Once a month the library holds a Read-to-a-Dog event! All ages are welcomed to stop by tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th between 2:00 and 3:00pm to read to a licensed therapy dog. Shasta is not able to make it tomorrow but her friend Earl will be here! We hope to see you then!

Don't forget, this Saturday (April 18) is the LAST day to turn in your Spring Reading Program forms! Participants that get a BINGO will get a ticket for a free donut from Rustic 7 and participants that get a BINGO blackout (all tiles filled out) will get a ticket for a free donut AND a ticket into a raffle for one of two headphones. The drawing will take place at 4pm on Saturday. We will be open from 10am to 4pm. We hope to see you then!

Our Chick Adoption Party is underway! Stop by before 2pm to enjoy games, crafts, and snacks! If you adopted a chick stuffie, bring their journal in to get their adoption certificate. We have chick coloring pages, friendship bracelets to make with your chicks, chick headbands, "pin" the beak on the chick and more! We hope to see you soon!

Stop by the library this Saturday, April 11th between 11:00am and 2:00pm to join us for our Chick Adoption Party! All of the chick stuffies have found homes but anyone is welcomed to join us for chick themed snacks, games and crafts! If you brought home one of our chicks, feel free to bring them back in to party! We will also have adoption certificates available for those that have completed their journals. The chicks are ready to be picked up! We have 35 chick stuffies looking to make new friends. Children must be present to pick up their chicks! We cannot hold any and they'll be available on a first come, first served basis.
Each chick stuffie comes with their own basket, journal, and pretend food. If you fill out your chick's journal and bring it back in, you will receive your chick's official Adoption Certificate!

The Jefferson Public Library is going to be having an "Adopt a Chick" event! Each chick stuffie comes with their own basket, journal, and pretend food. If you fill out your chick's journal and bring it back in, you will receive your chick's official Adoption Certificate! Chicks and their supplies will be available for pick up next week (March 31st, April 1st, 2nd & 4th). Our Chick Adoption Party will be on Saturday, April 11th from 11am to 2pm.

The Spring Reading Program starts today!! Children and teens are welcome to stop by the library to pick up a Spring Reading Program BINGO form. When they get a BINGO, they can bring it back in to receive a ticket for a free donut from Rustic 7 (located at 277 N 2nd St, Jefferson)! If they get a blackout (all squares filled), they will get a raffle ticket to be entered into a raffle for one of two headphones.

Today is the last day for our Used Book (and More!) Sale! We have a lot of children's books and DVDs left! There's also still more non-fiction, mystery, fiction, cookbooks, and quilting books available. There's even still puzzles left! We can accept cash or check and will be open until 6:00pm this evening. We hope to see you soon!
