Way to be a proactive citizen, Sawyer! 👏

Big ideas can come from our youngest residents!

Sawyer Rodda, a soon-to-be fourth grader at Utica Elementary School, recently requested a meeting with Mayor Mike Moore to share ideas for slowing down traffic in the Windy Pines neighborhood.

Mayor Moore was happy to hear Sawyer's concerns and discuss ways to help make the neighborhood safer for everyone. Thank you, Sawyer, for taking the initiative and showing what it means to be an engaged citizen!

🏔️Adventure is out there, Jets!

🏕️ We are excited to announce our theme for the 2026-2027 school year:
Utica Explorers - Great Adventure Awaits!

🌲This theme is inspired by the 110th anniversary celebration of the National Park Service in 2026 and the Wilderness Explorers from the Pixar film, Up!

🧭We are looking forward for what is to come this school year! Please note the upcoming events in the picture below!

📍Camp Kindergarten
- July 23rd, 2026
- 10:00AM-12:00PM
- Incoming Kindergartners are invited to meet our Kindergarten team and learn more about our school!

📍Elementary Back to School Night
- July 27th, 2026
- 5:00PM-7:00PM
- All Utica students and parents are invited to meet their teachers and see their classrooms for the school year!

Our final few weeks of the school year at Utica were some busy ones!

🪩4th-5th Grade enjoyed their decades dance.

🎓Seniors from Jeff High came to walk the halls and celebrate their graduation from high school by looking back at their start!

✈️ We are wishing some of our staff well as they move on to new adventures! We will miss Mrs. Porter, Mrs. Veals, Mrs. Meyers and Ms. Natalia!

🎤Our last day of school talent show went amazing! So many Jets showed off their incredible talents!

☀️ We hope all our Jets are soaking up the sun and enjoying summer break!

A special congratulations to Mrs. Porter on her retirement from teaching at GCCS! Mrs. Porter has been with GCCS since 1992 and will be missed!

It has been a busy week to be a Utica Jet!

🏐Congratulations to our UES Volleyball Team for winning their game on Saturday! They won corporation championship game!

🌦️On Friday, Kindergarten had an extra special weather presentation from WDRB meteorologist, Matthew Vine!

🕯️4th Grade students took a field trip to Squire Boone Caverns to learn more about geology and pioneer life!

🏅Our final Student of the Month awards were given out on Thursday to recognize students who exemplify Courage and Cooperation at Utica!

We have 8️⃣ more days of this school year, Jets! Let’s make them great!!

☀️Looking forward to a fun field day, this Tuesday 5/12!

🏆Tonight, they placed 2nd in the GCCS District Academic Team Competition! They have been working hard for weeks studying for this big night!

🏃‍♂️Tonight, the Greater Clark County Schools Elementary Track Meet was hosted at Jeffersonville High School!

🌟Our Utica Jets came to the track ready to compete!

🥈Our Utica Girls Track Team finished 2nd overall in the district! Way to go, girls!

🥇Our Utica Boys Track Team finished 1st overall in the district! Awesome job, boys!
