As we look forward to the 10th annual Geek Fest event we are opening up a call to fill some of our vendor/guest tables. Our procedure is that we partner with a local artists, cosplayers, vendors who create their own merchandise, that align with our mission to showcase the best in fun technology, cosplay, art, games, and other Geek oriented culture.

We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow, Saturday, October 11 at the Kalamazoo Expo Center between 11 am-3 pm. No tickets required and free to enter.

Special Guest Kimberly Woods will be sitting down at 11:30 am.
Cosplay pre-judging will take place from 11 am-noon.
All other games and events will run throughout the day. See you there!

Ludosport is a Light Saber fencing combat discipline founded in Milan,
Italy in 2006 by a group of martial artist friends who loved the Star
Wars movies. Together, they saw the iconic weapon as a way to bring
people from all walks of life together for fun and fitness. Since then, the
organization has spread across Europe and into many different countries
across the globe, finally making its way here to the USA in 2016 with the
first Academy opening in San Francisco, CA. Since the earlier days with
San Francisco, the USA branch of Ludosport has grown into 7 Academies
spanning the country.
As a system of sporting combat, it boasts an intricate and ever evolving
curriculum consisting of different styles or forms inspired by the films
and books of the Star Wars Universe, represented by a blend of historical
swordsmanship from various disciplines and traditions peppered with
an “in-universe” feel. At the heart, the Ludosport discipline is ultimately
driven by community and fellowship, welcoming people from all walks
of life. Kalamazoo Ludosport Academy remains true to that drive, being
an all inclusive and accepting safe place for those who join. For more

Dare to discover Forbidden Island! Join a team of fearless adventurers on a do-or-die mission to capture four sacred treasures from the ruins of this perilous paradise. Your team will have to work together and make some pulse-pounding maneuvers, as the island will sink beneath every step! Race to collect the treasures and make a triumphant escape before you are swallowed into the watery abyss! This is a live action version of the fun and fast paced tile game Forbidden Island.

If tabletop games are not really your thing you can check out the Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament and the Artemis Bridge Simulator.

Kalamazoo Public Library welcomes you to come and join the brawl at this year’s GeekFest! We’re hosting a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Switch Tournament with the help of our friends at KPL! This event will be a single elimination tournament held on the Nintendo Switch. Players may bring their own controllers if they’d like, but must use the in-house set-ups.

Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator lets you turn any room into the bridge
of a spaceship. You and your friends assume the positions of Captain,
Helm, Science, Communication, Engineering, and Weapon Control.
Together, you operate your ship and defend the sector from evil aliens.
Artemis simulates a spaceship bridge by networking several computers
together around a table.
