CFD provides emergency response services in NW Montana's Flathead Valley.

The fire district of the all-volunteer Creston Fire Department covers about 83 square miles in the Flathead Valley, where it also supplies mutual aid in other fire districts. The annual Creston Auction & Country Fair, a community event, raises money for the rural fire department. All proceeds go back into the community, paying for training and equipment for the volunteers of the Creston Fire Department.

The 2026 Whitefish Community Foundation Great Fish Community Challenge is over, but not our overwhelming feeling of gratefulness! The Flathead Valley showed up so well for it's local and loved nonprofit. Millions raised - imagine what an impact that will have across this whole valley. Thank you! And thank you espeically for supporting Creston Firefighters Association's goal to purchase life-saving emergency medical equipment.
