HELP US TRAIN 🚗 CARS NEEDED

It's that time of year again! South Summit Fire District is looking for vehicle donations for an interdepartmental emergency training exercise.

🚨 The cars don’t need to be drivable, but they do need to have a clear title, and we will need the title upon drop off. We will use them for extrication training (yes, that means cutting them up, so they won't be returned).

We need them on or before May 14th.

📍 If possible, please drop them off at Station 41.

✉️ Message us directly if you’re interested in donating! A letter of acknowledgment for the donation can be provided if desired.

Your donation helps us learn, helping us be better prepared to save lives!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🚨 EMS SALES TAX ADVISORY BOARD

Summit County is seeking applicants to fill five seats on the newly created Emergency Services Sales Tax Grant Program Advisory Board.

We are hoping for robust South Summit presence! There is 1 designated South Summit spot with 2 additional slots available for anyone living within Summit County, so any interested parties should contact the number listen below.

For context, the purpose of this advisory board is to recommend best uses for funds raised through a sales tax implemented in 2025.

Emergency Services Sales Tax was approved by voters in 2024 and funds a variety of things including emergency medical services, solid waste disposal, search and rescue activities, law enforcement, and fire protection services.

The advisory board will be made up of the following:

🚒One districted member living in the boundaries of the Park City Fire District
🚒One districted member living in the boundaries of the North Summit Fire District
🚒One districted member living in the boundaries of the South Summit Fire District
🚨🚨Two at-large members living anywhere in Summit County

If interested, please submit your application at: summitcounty.org/806/Volunteer-Boards-Form. The deadline to apply is 5 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

This week, our fire district proudly welcomed a brand-new ambulance to our fleet! This new addition is an investment in the safety and well-being of everyone we serve.

Modern emergency equipment allows our responders to provide faster response times, enhanced on-scene care, and safer transport for patients.

Emergencies are unpredictable, and being prepared with dependable apparatus helps us protect our community efficiently and effectively.

We’re grateful for the continued support that makes improvements like this possible. Together, we’re building a safer, stronger community. 💙
