🎓👮🏾‍♂️👮🏾‍♀️ FROM THE ACADEMY TO FIELD TRAINING!

Director Becky Scott recently sat down with our newly graduated Correctional Police Officers as they prepare to begin the next phase of their journey, two weeks of field training!

During the sit-down, the officers listened attentively, asked questions, and received words of encouragement and guidance from Director Scott as they transition from the academy into the facility.

Before wrapping up the session, Director Scott presented each officer with a Challenge Coin and reminded them that the learning doesn’t stop at graduation it’s only beginning!

Director Scott looks forward to sitting down with them again for their 3-month follow-up to hear about their experiences, growth, and progress.

Congratulations again to our newest officers! Now it’s time to put that training to work! 💪🏾💙🖤

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ 5TH ANNUAL STRIDES FOR SAFETY 5K 💙

This past Saturday, September 19, members of the Hudson County Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation proudly participated in the 5th Annual Strides for Safety 5K Run at Lincoln Park in Jersey City.

It was a wonderful morning filled with teamwork, community spirit, and a shared commitment to promoting safety and making a positive difference in our community.

We had an incredible time completing the 5K, supporting an important cause, and coming together alongside fellow participants and community partners.

Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in this meaningful event. We were proud to be part of another successful Strides for Safety 5K! 💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
