We would like to take a moment and send our heartfelt prayers to our cherished friend’s wife, Krystal, his children and his family. Brad was a true friend and mentor to those that he worked around. No matter the call type, Brad was always willing to teach and encourage those around him. We are thankful for the time we were blessed to share with him. We know you will miss him dearly, you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Thank You Brad for alsways sharing your kindness, humour and knowledge with all of us! We will see you later. 🚑🚒

Love your friends at Sabine Fire and Rescue!

Sabine FD is on a 10 acre pasture/woods fire just north Goforth Road on FM 3053. Sabine crews, along with assistance from Kilgore Fire Department and the Texas Forest Service have the fire contained.

There will be heavy smoke in the area overnight due to the large quantity of hay bales burning in the previously burnt area.

We advise that anyone burning outside have a way to extinguish their fire as the fire risk is very high over the next several days with increased winds and low humidity.

***ATTENTION*** Gregg County is under VERY HIGH fire danger forecast for Sunday, November 9. Avoid burning outdoors!

Sabine Fire & Rescue was happy to have Sparky attend the annual SAFFE DAY event in Kilgore, Texas this past Saturday. Firefighters Tanner Riley , (Sparky) Re*****on Talasek, and Shannon Sisk had a great time smiling, laughing, and taking pictures during the Special Abilities Family Fun Event! Great job to those who assure SAFFE DAY is spectacular every year!

Please be extremely cautious before you do any outdoor burning… Conditions are prime for a fire to spread rapidly!

Please be extremely cautious before you do any outdoor burning… Conditions are prime for a fire to spread rapidly!

No countywide burn bans are in effect in the Longview area, but the 14-day precipitation outlook shows the region has a less-than-normal chance of rainfall through Oct. 17.
