UPDATE TO OUR EARLIER POST-
All of our units cleared from the accident scene on US Highway 521 near Dusty Circle in the Andrews area a couple of hours ago. However, the collision involved a fatality and the South Carolina Highway Patrol still had the highway closed for their investigation. It appears they have completed the portion of the investigation at the scene and have reopened the highway to traffic.
Thank you for sharing the post and avoiding the area. This allows us and the investigators to do our work safely.

Today, we recognize and celebrate the paramedics who answer the call when every second counts.

Paramedics bring advanced medical care directly to patients, making critical decisions and delivering lifesaving treatment wherever emergencies happen. Their expertise, compassion and commitment make a lasting difference for the people and communities they serve every day.

On International Paramedics Day, the South Carolina EMS Association proudly thanks the paramedics across South Carolina and around the world for their dedication to the profession and to the patients who depend on them.

Happy International Paramedics Day!
