On Friday, August 7th Williamsburg County School District Superintendent Dr. Lamont Moore spent time serving lunch to our scholars at W.M. Anderson Primary School.

Students enjoyed a delicious meal featuring pizza, Lunchables, collard greens, fresh fruit, and their choice of milk or juice. Moments like these provide an opportunity to connect with our scholars, build meaningful relationships, and show that every child is valued.

Across Williamsburg County School District, our scholars are learning routines, building positive habits, and settling into classrooms where success begins. Our teachers are back in the rhythm of inspiring and engaging students each day, while our administrators are providing strong leadership to ensure every school starts the year with purpose and excellence.

Behind the scenes, our bus drivers, custodial and maintenance teams work tirelessly to keep our scholars safe and schools clean and welcoming. Our food service professionals continue to serve nutritious, delicious meals that fuel learning and growth.

Thank you to every member of the WCSD family for making the first few days of the 2026–2027 school year a success. Together, we are creating positive learning environments where every scholar can thrive.

To help kick off an exciting new school year, Superintendent Dr. Lamont Moore and the Williamsburg County School District Executive Team visited schools across the district today to personally present principals with gifts in appreciation of their leadership and dedication.

These visits were a small token of gratitude for the incredible work our principals do each day to support students, staff, and families. As the 2026–2027 school year begins, WCSD is proud to celebrate the leaders who set the tone for excellence in every school.
