Kutztown Fire & Rescue is proud to announce that we have achieved the 75% (Silver) level in the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner’s Participating Department Recognition Program.
This voluntary certification recognizes fire departments that demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development, with at least 75% of active members completing state or national-level certifications. Earning the Silver award reflects the high standards of training and preparedness our department maintains.
We want to extend a special thank you and congratulations to all of our dedicated volunteer members whose hard work, countless hours of training, and personal commitment made this achievement possible. Their willingness to go above and beyond—often balancing full-time jobs, families, and other responsibilities—shows the true heart of our volunteer fire service. This Silver certification is a direct result of their dedication and sacrifice.
For the residents of Kutztown Borough, Maxatawny Township, and the surrounding communities we serve, this award means you can count on a well-trained, highly skilled team of firefighters and rescuers who are better prepared to handle any emergency—whether it’s a structure fire, medical call, or technical rescue.
We are incredibly proud of our members and grateful for the continued support of our community. Together, we will keep raising the bar to ensure Kutztown receives the best possible emergency services.
