Many years ago, this page was started many years ago when I served on the Maryland Youth Advisory Council under the name "Councilman Jonathan Dayton." Join us for the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Convention After Party in the Park immediately following the parade on June 6, 2026! Hosted by Potomac Fire Company No. 2 Inc., enjoy free music, great food, and a fun evening with the fire & rescue community.

Hotdogs, hamburgers, sweet sausage, hot sausage, chips, soda, and water will be available for sale.

Today is Election Day in Westernport. Get out and make your vote count today. There is a lot riding on this election, especially with important funding opportunities, community priorities, and projects that will help shape the future of the town.

Westernport has been through a tremendous amount over the past year, including devastating floods, and it is important that residents carefully consider the EXPERIENCE, leadership, and vision of those seeking to serve the community moving forward.

As someone who grew up in Westernport, I feel it is extremely important that every eligible resident exercises their right to vote today. No matter your views or who you support, your voice matters and your participation helps shape the future of our hometown.

Please take the time today to head to the polls and make your voice heard. Every vote matters.
