🎞️ Did You Know?
Microfilm is one of the most durable preservation formats ever created. When properly stored, it can last for hundreds of years and preserve thousands of pages of historical records on a single reel.
Dupré Library's Special Collections provides access to thousands of historical newspapers, government records, university archives, and Louisiana history resources through microfilm and microfiche.
These compact formats preserve decades of information in a space-saving format and can be viewed, searched, and printed using our microfilm readers located in the Reference Online Center Lab (1st Floor) and the Jefferson Caffery Reading Room (3rd Floor).
Whether you're researching family history, local events, or UL Lafayette history, microforms can help you uncover the past, one reel at a time.
Visit UL Lafayette Special Collections to explore our microform collections and discover history preserved for future generations.
