September's Second Saturday Book Club will be a great one! This month, we’ll discuss Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson.

Madison’s twin stepkids are moving in and she wants her old friend Lillian to be their nanny. However, there’s a catch: The twins burst into flame when they get upset. Literally. Over the course of one humid, demanding summer, Lillian and the twins learn to trust each other—and stay cool—while also staying out of the way of Madison’s buttoned-up politician husband.

Do you write prose, poetry, short stories, and/or enjoy being the first to hear original works read aloud? If so, please come join us!

All ages are welcome! (Discretion will be encouraged for those reading their work.)

Everyone's work will be recited in an open format that promotes uplifting encouragement for those reading and better understanding of the work for those listening.

Learning the alphabet with storytime continues in September! Come learn with us at any LaGrange County Public Library branch!

Tuesday's Patchwork Trails program took us to Scott, Indiana. We began with a guided tour of Van Buren (Scott) Cemetery, led by Bryan McCoy. Then we moved just down the road to Scott United Methodist Church, where we learned about the history of Scott village from Murlyn Myers and his incredibly detailed town model. Thanks Bryan and Murt! And thanks to Sharon Bowen for the yummy refreshments!
