A fiber line was cut in our county today which has affected some cellphones and landlines. We were made aware that a few people tried to contact our office and were not able to.
If your call is not an emergency and can wait, try to call back at a later time or from a different phone, if possible. This is being worked on.

Please refrain from calling 911 unless it is an emergency.

This National Police Week (May 10th-16th), we recognize the commitment and strength of law enforcement across the country, in particular, the deputies of Cavalier County.

National Police Week was established to honor law enforcement officers and deputies who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to recognize the service and sacrifice of those individuals serving their communities.

Thank you for the long hours, the difficult calls, and the dedicated service to our community, it does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you all, not only this week, but every day 🚔💙🖤

There has been a fiber optic line cut that is currently being worked on. This will affect phone calls from landline to cell phone and from cell phone to landline. The Cavalier County non-emergency/admin line is not currently working. Our emergency line (911) is still working. It sounds like this issue may be resolved by 9 PM.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!! Several individuals in Cavalier County have received calls from the “Sheriff’s Department” claiming they have missed jury duty. This is a scam. The number used for many of the calls has been from this # (701) 291-6434.

SCAM!!! Just a reminder, this is a scam. It appears that another round of these texts is being received by community members. SCAM!!!
