We've been staying busy!
On August 28th, at 2353hrs, Lee Fire was paged to respond for a building fire on the Ridge Rd. Dispatch updated that the caller was unsure if the fire was extinguished or not.
Ambulance 709 was already on a medical call at the time of the page. Lee 701, 702, and 708 responded to the scene to find the fire already extinguished. Crew remained on scene for a period of time ensuring their was no extension into the walls or roof of the house. 709 also responded after clearing the first call. Cause of the fire was a birds nest that was on top of an outside light fixture. The homeowner was quick to act and saved the house from severe damage.
Last week we responded to 17 calls for service, with 3 of those times that an ambulance was on already on a call and a 2nd crew had to respond.
One of those occasions being Friday, August 28th -
At 0852hrs we responded to a medical call that required 3 crew members, along with a paramedic intercept from one of our providers.
At 0910hrs we were paged to respond to a 2nd call in Mattawamkeag. An EMT was responding to cover the station, but due to the location of the incident, Medway Rescue was closer and covered the call for us.
At 1001hrs, Lee 709 was returning from the first call and responded to a 3rd call in Molunkus.
