On this Memorial Day, we remember those who have given their lives in service to our nation in over 250 years of American freedom. I’m proud to share this photo of my great-grandfather, who exemplified the virtuous commitment to protecting families, communities, and our tremendous inheritance of freedom. May God bless all of our fallen heroes. 🇺🇸

Freedom is never free. Today we honor the men and women who gave everything for this country. Among them is my great‑grandfather, Adam Calhoun, shown here decorating the graves of the fallen on Memorial Day in 1922. He himself was wounded in the Battle of Chaffin's Farm in 1864.

Tonight, I am incredibly humbled and honored by the trust the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the 20th Senatorial District have once again placed in me. Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign, volunteered their time, made phone calls, knocked doors, worked polls, donated, and went out to vote.

Tonight’s results send a clear message: the 20th Senatorial District is not for sale. The people of this region cannot be bought by outside money, outside interests, or dishonest attacks. This campaign was powered by the people who live here, work here, raise their families here, and care deeply about the future of our communities.

Serving you in Harrisburg has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I never take for granted the responsibility of being your voice. I will continue fighting every day for our families, our communities, and the values that make Northeastern Pennsylvania strong.

To my family, friends, supporters, and everyone who stood beside me through this campaign, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and belief in me mean more than words can express.

Now that primary is over, it’s time to move forward together. I remain committed to delivering real results and continuing the work to build a stronger future for the next generation.

More FACTS versus LIES. This article includes my actual position on data centers.

Local officials and residents must have a say in siting and permitting decisions. I do not support giving data centers a free ride on local impacts. These proposals should be evaluated case by case, taking into account water demand, power needs, noise and traffic, and environmental standards. Agricultural land should not be sacrificed.

For me, serving as state Senator involves teamwork on a daily basis. Cooperation and collaboration are key ingredients in getting practical and effective results. It is a privilege to work with the many capable individuals holding elected and appointed positions. I am grateful for the help they continually provide and the support they offer today.

My ballot, my choice, and I'm proud of it! Yes, my ballot is supposed to be secret. But keeping Lisa Baker as my State Senator matters too much for me to stay quiet. She’s my senator, NEPA’s senator, and her re-election is essential for all Pennsylvanians.

When I heard Lisa had a primary opponent, I was stunned! Who is this guy? Does he even live in the 20th District? The photos I’ve shared from events here in Wyoming County are just a glimpse of Lisa Baker’s genuine care for our community, our families, and good government. On a recent tour of the Capitol in Harrisburg with fellow Wyoming County citizens, Lisa personally welcomed us into her office — she even let us sit at her desk! Her opponent? Nowhere to be seen.

During that visit, I learned Lisa holds a key leadership role as a senior Republican senator. Nearly every major piece of legislation crosses her desk, and she works tirelessly to stop the flood of radical bills coming from the State House. That’s my Senator — strong, steady, and respected.

After 2020, I became more involved as a Wyoming County Republican. I’ve gone to committee meetings, rallies, dinners, knocked on doors, and learned about campaign financing. I’ve met every candidate running to represent me — every single one — except this guy. It makes you wonder: where has he been? Why has he mysteriously popped up in this primary?

I tried to learn more. All I could find was that he served in the military and has a daughter. Is there a Mrs. Myers? Where did he go to college? Did he graduate? What’s his job now? Does he have any executive experience at all? His website doesn’t answer any of these basic questions. And yet, he wants to be my voice in Harrisburg? No way!

Any informed Republican voter can see he’s not ready for the job — and certainly not fit to replace Senator Lisa Baker. That’s why I’m proud to show how I cast my ballot. On May 19th, I’m voting for proven leadership, integrity, and results. I’m voting again for Lisa Baker!

Standing for election is one of the hardest things a person can do. You put yourself out there and ask the people of your community to place their trust in you, to be their voice in Harrisburg and to help shape the direction of our government and our future. Throughout my career, I have taken great pride in my ability to navigate government, build relationships, and deliver meaningful results for the people and communities of the 20th Senatorial District.

This Tuesday, I humbly ask for your support once again, so I can continue that work. Together, we have secured major investments for our communities, protected our values, and fought to ensure Northeastern Pennsylvania has a strong voice at the table. But there is still more to do, from growing our economy and strengthening infrastructure to protecting our communities and creating greater opportunities for the next generation. Serving you has been the honor of a lifetime, and I hope to continue earning your trust for another term as we work together to build an even stronger future for Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.

Another great rally last night, this time in Hanover Township, thanks to the efforts of the Hanover Township Commissioners, former Magistrate Joe Halesey, Rep. Alec Ryncavage and the terrific 6 String staff! I appreciate everyone who turned out to support our campaign. I’m honored to represent the South Valley as part of the 20th SD.
