Per AEP, these lines will most likely not be repaired until tomorrow as crews are extremely busy responding to multiple outages today.

For your safety, please avoid these areas which have caution tape, and do not approach downed power lines.⚠️

🚨 SCAM ALERT🚨

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office wants to warn residents about a phishing scam that is designed to steal your financial information. The attached "notice" was received by a Putnam County Resident via text messaging.

A court will never "serve" notice to you via text messaging. If you receive a text message claiming you have an outstanding warrant, a missed jury summons, or a parking violation—especially if it includes a "pay now" link—it is a scam. Official court business is conducted through the U.S. Postal Service or, in specific legal cases, by personal service from a process server or law enforcement officer.

If you receive a notice like the one shown DO NOT SCAN THE QR code and never provide financial information to 'pay' for the alleged violation. You do not need to make a report unless you gave them any of your personal info. Be safe and be aware of what you respond to.
