A quick training session with Winnie and Sammy! šŸ¾

Today we worked through some of the foundations that make life with your dog easier every day: Stay, Crate, and Place.

These commands may seem simple, but they build impulse control, confidence, and good household manners. The secret isnā€™t fancy trainingā€”itā€™s consistent practice and follow-through.

Every behavior needs generalized and tested!!

Here, Bruno demonstrates a down-stay in the middle of a toy aisle while ignoring squeaky toys and other temptations around him.

Exercises like this help build impulse control, focus, and the ability to remain calm when excitement is all around. These skills become especially important for dogs preparing for public access and service work.

Bruno recently completed our Service Prep Program and has since made the journey home to Hong Kong. Weā€™re proud of the progress heā€™s made and excited to watch him continue to grow with his family.

About a month ago, we hand delivered Smokey to Florida after completing both our Puppy Steps Program and Service Prep Program. āœˆļøšŸ¾

Last week, we received these pictures from his family and they absolutely made our day.

One of the most rewarding parts of training isnā€™t just what happens while puppies are with usā€”itā€™s seeing families continue the work and build success once their puppy gets home.

Seeing Smokeyā€™s family already putting his training into practice in a busy airport environment is exactly what we hope for. New places, distractions, excitementā€¦ and Smokey is continuing to do a fantastic job.

This is why we focus so heavily on building strong foundations, clear communication, and practical skills that transfer into everyday life. Training isnā€™t about creating a dog that performs for us as trainersā€”itā€™s about giving families the tools to succeed long after they go home.
