Not long ago, I mentioned a few customers were missing Davidโ€™s scheduling texts. A few days before his trip, he texts customers with a date and time he can be there. He doesnโ€™t usually check back if you donโ€™t confirm.
Weโ€™ve figured out why some people miss his texts- they sometimes land in spam, or people ignore the text because David's number isnโ€™t recognized. To make sure you get it, add his numberโ€”435-881-2364โ€”or watch for a text from a Utah number the week before his trip. Please confirm ASAP after you receive his text, so David can plan his trip faster, and so you keep your spot. Thanks everyone!

Yes, David can re-sew when saddle stitching comes apart. If the leather is worn, and tears because of that, he can sometimes repair it, but not always.
If stitching on your saddles tends to break, one common cause can be using excessive oil (conditioners and cleaners) that build up and add moisture to the leather and thread. David's favorite product is Effax Leather Combi. It's the perfect product for cleaning, conditioning and waterproofing leather. It doesn't weaken thread like others do (unless used excessively). Any product allowed to build up over time will weaken the thread and will also damage your leather.

This is super last minute but it can't hurt to ask. We finished up working in CA today and have a day off tomorrow before we head toward home. We're staying in Oceanside tonight, driving down to the LA Jolla San Diego area tomorrow and staying in Carlsbad, CA tomorrow night. Any recommendations for the best beaches or botanical gardens we can visit between these areas? We'd prefer to stay near these areas since we've already driven so many miles. Also, suggestions for healthy restaurants in the area? I eat similar to keto (no grains, sugar, or seed oils) and price doesn't matter.

It's been so fun touring with David and meeting so many of his customers this trip!! We added extra days to our trip to stop and enjoy the sights and scenery along the way.
People often ask what cities David visits. Since he works on-site, he goes wherever his customers are each month. Expect him to return to your area about every 6 weeks.
If someone contacts me from an area outside his usual route (as long as David feels he can go there), Iโ€™m happy to advertise to find more customers there. Sometimes we get enough interest for him to go there on his next trip; sometimes it takes a few months. And sometimes, it simply doesn't work out. I'm willing to try but it depends on your location and how many horse people are in your area. Occasionally one customer ends up being hours from the others on a given trip. In that case, weโ€™ll let you know that and add you to his list to see the following month.

The places David works each month vary. To give you an idea, here are the cities he's scheduled to work in during this trip:
Idaho-
Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Kuna, Grangeville
Washington-
Pullman, Deer Park, Spokane, Pasco, Zillah, Monroe, Cle Elum, Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Snohomish, Sedro-Woolley, Lynnwood, Woodinville, Mercer Island, Friday Harbor, Oak Harbor, Clinton, Bremerton, Vashon, Ridgefield, Warren
Oregon-
Forest Grove, Gaston, Portland, Beavercreek, Lake Oswego, Canby, Redmond, Tumalo, La Pine, Sherwood, Damascus, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Corvallis, Philomath, Stanfield, Eugene, Cottage Grove, Coos Bay, Trail, Ashland, Williams
California-
McKinleyville, Eureka, Loleta, Sebastopol, Petaluma, Novato, Martinez, Brentwood, Clayton, Wilton, Lodi, Stevinson, Atwater, Fresno, Gilroy, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Morgan Hill, Graceland, Montara, Felton, Solvang, Santa Barbara
(Doesnโ€™t usually go this far south, but had enough customers to make it work this time:)
Oxnard, San Marcos, Encinitas, Oceanside, San Diego

If youโ€™d like to know when David might be near you, just PM me. Iโ€™m happy to add you to his list and help find other customers to make a trip to your area possible.

A few quick notes to help you know what to expect:
-I post Davidโ€™s planned trip dates on our page (and sometimes Instagram). His final route and dates depend on how many customers are in each area, so they can shift by a few days.
-If you have any questions, please message Kristie on our business page. If you already know you want on Davidโ€™s list, text him your name, barn address, and what you need done (435-881-2364). Heโ€™ll add you but probably wonโ€™t reply until he's scheduling his trip. Heโ€™s on the road for three weeks, home for two, then takes a week to plan. He stays pretty busy during that time, so contacting Kristie is the best way to get quick answers.
-David will text or call you the week before his trip with a date and time. Please reply as soon as you can to confirm! We have several customers miss his texts every month. Please add David's number to your phone if you think that will help you see his texts. If he doesnโ€™t hear back, heโ€™ll remove you from the schedule and try to fit you in if you reply later. If he canโ€™t, I'll add you to his next trip.
-If you reach out the week before his trip and heโ€™s already scheduled, he may still have a spot. Otherwise, I can put you on the list for the following trip โ€” so contacting us early is best.
-If youโ€™re on the list and havenโ€™t heard from us two days before he leaves, please text David or message me. Sometimes texts get missed, and with contacting 80โ€“100 customers in one week, an occasional mix-up can happen on our end too.
Let me know if you have any other questions โ€” especially if youโ€™re new!
