Our hearts and thoughts are with the family and friends of Officer Yeager today. Several of our officers previously worked with Kristen years ago. Her upbeat nature and friendly personality will be greatly missed by the law enforcement community.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

🖤💙 End of Watch: May 29, 2026

On Memorial Day we pause to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. The weather today may prevent picnics and pool parties but it doesn’t have to stop us from remembering the true significance of the holiday.

We recently received a public service reminder from the PA Game Commission after they had a few similar calls in the area. The Game Commission has responded to several calls for young wildlife – specifically baby foxes- that were handled by well-meaning members of the public who were attempting to help.

Unfortunately, when wild animals that can carry rabies encounter humans, PA Game Commission guidelines require that the animal be euthanized and submitted for rabies testing.

The willingness to help is a testament to the kindness of the public, but in most cases, wildlife isn’t abandoned. Parents are often nearby and will return once people leave the area.
Instead, do not touch or handle the animals, keep a safe distance and contact the Game Commission at 1-833-PGC- WILD or call their non-emergency number at 610-268-3171 for assistance.

Please feel free to stop by the station on April 25th between 10 am to 2 pm to drop off unused medication. This program aims to make local homes safer to prevent overdoses and accidents, while also providing a method for residents to safely dispose of these unwanted, expired medications.

Lieutenant Roche had the opportunity today to ride around with Alicia from Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County. They visited with several appreciative seniors. Alicia knew all of the residents on her route by first name. She remembered and celebrated their birthdays and recalled assisting them with picking up medications. Alicia finished her route only to then travel to her next volunteer stop of the day where she brings art exhibits into area schools for excited students. Without a doubt, the world needs more Alicias! Thank you, Alicia and Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, for all of your incredible work.
