Good Food, Great Tunes & SO Much FUN!🎶🍔🌭

We enjoyed a FANTASTIC day at our Center’s Annual Cookout! ❤️ The grills were sizzling, the music was playing, and the smiles were BIG! 😄

A huge shout-out to our own Carmen and our wonderful volunteers for whipping up an absolutely delicious feast! 🍔🌽🌭🍦Everything was cooked with love—and let’s just say…there were some very happy tummies! 😉

Steve Anthony & the Persuasion got the party started with his incredible music, and before we knew it, our members were singing along, tapping their toes, and taking over the dance floor!💃🕺🎤🎶

There was laughter in the air, music in our hearts, and plenty of dancing feet! ❤️ It was the perfect way to wrap up our summer at the Center!☀️🎶🍔💃

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Annual Cookout one to remember! Good food, good tunes, great friends and good times!!! ❤️

Our very talented friend, Kathi Masi from “Eating for Better Health” wowed us Wednesday during her monthly session. She added a pinch of history, a dash of culture, and a sprinkle of fun to make her visit informative and delicious. We discussed how advances in technology during the last century shaped the American family and impacted how we cook & eat in the modern world. Kathi fed our brains but also our bellies with the almost-too-pretty-to-eat chocolate trifle. Thank you, Kathi!

We would like to welcome Casey as a new member to our Front Desk team here at the Center! You may already know Casey as she has been a dedicated volunteer at the Center and also teaches Party Line Dancing and Move & Groove! She will be a wonderful addition to our staff, bringing lots of positive energy, enthusiasm and a friendly smile to the Center!! Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Casey in her new role!!

Scam prevention tips⬇️

Medicare will not call to verify your Medicare number. They will also never threaten to cancel your benefits if you refuse to give it to them. This is a sign the caller is a scammer. If you get a call asking for your Medicare number, hang up.

If you did give out your Medicare number, don't panic. Contact the SMP to report it and get help on the next steps.

🌻 Sunflowers, Creativity & Lots of Smiles!🌻

A very special thank you to Hannah and Chloe from Lighthouse at Lincoln for joining us on Monday and leading a wonderful sunflower craft with our friends! 💛

The creative juices were definitely flowing as each member created their own unique wine glass or vase. We saw beautiful sunflowers, colorful wildflowers, and so many creative designs! 🌻🌼

Thank you, Hannah and Chloe, for bringing your creativity and sunshine to the Lincoln Senior Center! We had such a wonderful time! 💕

We celebrated National Senior Citizens Day yesterday with OUR version of the Summer Olympics! 🇺🇸 After the opening ceremony, delegates competed in the following events:

- Hungry, Hungry Hippo
- Chopsticks Challenge
- Snowball Bullseye
- Chair Volleyball

The competitors brought skills, sportsmanship, and laughter that rang through the building. We’re proud of all the participants for making it a fantastic Friday! 🥇🥈🥉
