The department is proud to announce that two of our members passed their skills evaluation yesterday in Bangor. This skills test is set up by M.F.S.I and had nine random stations pulled from 100's of skills taught during their 9 to 10 months of class. This combined with a written exam will grant them a Pro Board certification to be Firefighter 1&2

Some of our department members will be partaking in this skills test tomorrow. Good luck to them all, we are proud of you for making this commitment to the service and ou community.

As our staff prepares for a very large Firefighter Skills Exam tomorrow, I want to recognize the tremendous amount of work that goes into making an event of this size possible.

This exam will serve firefighter training programs from across eastern, central, and northern Maine, bringing together nearly 86 firefighters who have worked hard to reach this important point in their training.

To our MFSI staff, instructors, evaluators, and support personnel — thank you for the preparation, long hours, professionalism, and commitment you bring to this mission.

And most importantly, to every firefighter testing tomorrow:

Trust your training. Stay focused. Work hard. Take care of one another, and be proud of how far you have come.

You have prepared for this moment. Now go show what you can do.

Good luck from all of us at the Maine Fire Service Institute.

Maine Forward. Maine First.
