SHS (College) Decision Day 2026

Seniors celebrated by marking their post-high school plans on the boards by the North Cafeteria, watched the senior decision slideshow on the monitors throughout the building, and, for the 14th year in a row, joined with teacher alumni of various Michigan colleges for group photos.

We wish all the members of the Class of 2026 the best as they move out into the wider world.

At Tuesday evening's 60th Annual Senior Honors Convocation, three previously unpublished winners were honored, representing some of Stevenson's most prestigious awards.

Our congratulations to Madison Cavin, recipient of the James P. Carli Memorial Scholarship, an award presented in memory of Mr. Carli, a beloved and respected teacher, administrator, and superintendent of Livonia Public Schools.

Additional congratulations to Jack Borgula and Olivia Thomson for earning the Bob Massey Award. Presented since 1990 and named for a longtime Stevenson student activities director, this award is presented to the students who earn the most activity points over the course of their Stevenson career.

Finally, congratulations to Brooke Benaske and Isabella Vartanoff, the 2026 recipients of the Jay W. Formsma Award. The award was named after Stevenson’s first principal, who guided the building’s earliest years from 1964 until his sudden passing in the fall of 1972.
The award has been presented since 1973. SHS Seniors are nominated by SHS staff and evaluated on citizenship, academics, community service, and school improvement.

Congratulations to these winners and all of our honored seniors.
