Eligibility
The individual should meet the following requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have the ability to stand (supporting their own weight).
Not require 1:1 staffing for more than one third of the day.
Be able to follow simple directions & redirection.
Ability to work well within a group setting.
Be continent of bowel/bladder functioning (although we know accidents may happen).
Ability to use restroom independently with minimal supervision or assistance.
Ability to treat others with respect & kindness.
Each individual must meet with us for an interview before becoming a member of OHANA.

We will set up a two-week trial period to ensure that we are a good fit for each other.

*We do not tolerate any behavior that is physically or verbally threatening to staff or other members.

OHANA provides nutritious, well-balanced meals that are planned and reviewed by a Registered Dietitian to support the health and wellness needs of participants. Meals are designed to meet recommended dietary guidelines and accommodate individual nutritional requirements, including modified diets for medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and food allergies when appropriate.

Our Registered Dietitian oversees menu development to ensure meals are appealing, culturally appropriate, and nutritionally adequate, helping participants maintain optimal health, energy, and quality of life while attending the program.
