Say hello to Marcelo Martir, our new Lecturer at the University Library! 🎉
Marcelo began his career in libraries in a pilot program in library science at the Claremont Colleges Library while completing his Bachelor in English. After developing an interest in academic librarianship, he pursued his MLIS degree at UCLA. While there, he served as a Library Student Research Assistant and interned as an Information Literacy Intern at Cal State Channel Islands and a Librarian Student Intern at CSULB. As a new Lecturer, he is working on collection development and helping out at the reference desk. He is excited to return to CSULB and build connections with patrons, staff, and faculty.
