This World Breastfeeding Week, LA County maintains a demonstrated commitment to improving maternal & infant health through investments in lactation support, baby-friendly hospital practices, community-based breastfeeding organizations, peer counseling, and more.

One of the ways the County demonstrates our commitment to employee well-being is by ensuring that employees who choose to breast/chestfeed have the support, time, and resources they need to continue doing so after returning to the workplace.

What helps children, youth, and families thrive?

It starts with strong partnerships.

The LA County Office of Child, Youth, and Family Well-Being (OCFW) serves as a bridge between community, community-based organizations, and child and family-serving County departments to help children, youth, and families thrive.

OCFW envisions a future where every child grows up safe, supported, and thriving, and where all families - regardless of their starting point – have what they need to flourish long before crisis occurs.
