Thank you to the Parent Collective for organizing the first OCS Community Coffee. It was a beautiful way to begin the morning—sharing delicious drinks, friendly conversations, and time together as a community.

We’re so grateful for the families who stopped by to connect, catch up, and simply enjoy a moment together as the day began.

Here’s to many more mornings of connection, conversation, and community at OCS!

At Ocean Charter School, learning goes beyond core academics. Our middle school students have opportunities to create, move, collaborate, explore, and lead through specialty and elective classes.

Woodwork builds craftsmanship, patience & perseverance.

Handwork develops creativity, focus & practical skills.

Movement builds coordination, strength, teamwork & confidence while encouraging a lifelong connection to physical activity.

Ensemble brings students together through music & collaboration.

And that is only naming a few of the classes available to OCS students.

It’s all part of a Public Waldorf Education that nurtures the head, heart, and hands—while giving students many different ways to discover their strengths.

Rich academics. Purposeful technology. Immersive arts. Whole-child learning.

In an Ocean Charter middle school classroom, learning is anything but one-dimensional.

Students engage in a rich and challenging curriculum that encourages them to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, solve problems, and make connections across subjects. Technology is introduced thoughtfully and purposefully—used as a tool when it enhances learning, while leaving plenty of space for hands-on discovery, conversation, creativity, and human connection.

And the arts aren’t an “extra.” 🎨🎭🎶 They are woven throughout the educational experience. Through drawing, painting, music, movement, handwork, storytelling, and creative expression, students experience their learning in ways that engage the head, heart, and hands.

The result is a middle school experience that prepares students for an increasingly technological world while continuing to nurture the creativity, curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking that help them thrive within it. 🌿 That, is the OCS mission.
