ICE = domestic terrorists.

They continue to show us that they are a bunch of thugs murdering members of the public.

At least 52 people have died in ICE custody between January 20, 2025 and June 4, 2026, according to a joint report from Physicians for Human Rights and Human Rights Watch released in late June 2026.

Federal immigration officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have been involved in at least 39 shootings resulting in 9 deaths since the start of January 2025.

Notable cases:
• Renee Nicole Good, 37, a mother of three and U.S. citizen, killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis in January 2026
• Alex Pretti, 37, an ICU nurse and U.S. citizen, fatally shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis weeks later — video contradicted DHS’s initial account
• Silverio Villegas González, 38, shot by an ICE officer during a traffic stop near Chicago in September 2025
• Keith Porter Jr., killed by an off-duty ICE agent in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve 2025
• Lorenzo Salgado Araujo killed by ICE agents after pulling his vehicle over. ICE said Salgado Araujo attempted to ram agents with his car, but three witnesses contradicted that claim

Today in Maine, they shot a father while his 3-year old child was in the car.

Nolan Wells

Nolan left on a trip with three white friends for the 4th of July. They all came back except for him. Two days later, his body was found.

What happened?

Even in 2026, African American and Black boys and young men are not safe. They are targeted, harmed, and killed.

Cops say he drowned. His “friends” are telling different stories about what happened to Nolan.

Nolan, his family, and community are victims of systemic racism quick to minimize what happened to Nolan and erase who he was.

The Korean American Democratic Committee lends its voice with others demanding an independent, comprehensive investigation into the death of Nolan. We commend colin kaepernick for paying for an independent autopsy. It’s unfortunate that it’s needed. We also stand with Ben Crump for representing Nolan’s family as they seek truth and justice for Nolan.

🖊️ July’s Message from KADC President Esther “Bester” Lim:

“As President of the Korean American Democratic Committee, I want to speak plainly to our members, our community, and to the Democratic Party we belong to: democracy is under attack, at every level, and too many of the people we elected to defend it have gone quiet or those who are loud, brave, and courageous are met with unprecedented attacks and hostility funded by corporate monies and genocide enablers.

What we need is bravery. What we need is courage from our leaders.

We are watching democratic values erode in real time. This isn’t something that happened overnight, rather it happened over time.

Nationally, we see the weaponization of federal power against political opponents, journalists, and protesters; attacks on the independence of courts and election administration; and a sustained effort to place loyalty to tyrannical individuals above loyalty to the Constitution and the people.

Locally, we see money and access substitute for accountability, with elected officials more responsive to major donors and entrenched interests than to the residents who put them in office.

What happened at the LA City Council over amending the charter was a disastrous example of weak leadership, an utter refusal to listen to constituents, and proof that the voice (and dollars) of a few (police unions) will always trump the many who’ve been detrimentally impacted by LAPD abuse, violence, and harm.

And internationally, we cannot separate our commitment to democracy at home from our responsibility to speak honestly about the human rights abuses abroad, including in Gaza, where the scale of civilian murder and forced displacement has led international courts, human rights organizations, and a growing number of governments to describe Israel’s conduct for what it is — a genocide. It is a genocide.

Our community includes people descended from those who survived war, colonization, and dictatorship. We know that silence in the face of atrocity is its own kind of complicity, and we will not stay silent…”
