President’s Statement RE Primary Election/May/June
“The candidates the Korean American Democratic Committee (KADC) endorsed for the 2026 Primary Election were those who aligned with our values for a better, more equitable, more justice, and more democratic future for all of us.
Each candidate worked hard to fight against an opponent who was well-funded with monies tainted with profits over people. Our candidates stood for fighting for the working class. They spoke out against genocide, the abolishment of ICE for their brutal crackdown separating families and depriving hard working people of their liberties. They refused corporate monies and were funded dollar-by-dollar by hardworking, everyday people who wanted a candidate they could trust in a government that had abandoned them. Our candidates refused to accept that the status quo was good enough.
Many of our endorsed candidates will not be moving forward into the General Election. We will forever be grateful for their bravery in challenging the norm and fighting for us. Those who are continuing, KADC will continue supporting them and we hope you will join us.
For the Democratic candidates we didn’t endorse, but are facing a Republican challenger, we know what’s at stake. We still stand firm with our mission and values and expect you to do more to earn our and the communities’ trust and vote. KADC is committed to democratic values and principles and we will not be supporting Republican candidates who are spewing hatred, committing themselves to MAGA and corporate interests, and not the working class.”
