LOCATION UPDATE: Revised In-Person Meeting Address

Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning is hosting two upcoming community outreach meetings to share information about the proposed Revised Oil Well Ordinance and hear from community members.

The proposed ordinance would update County regulations related to oil wells and production facilities and support the phase out of oil production activities in unincorporated Los Angeles County.

Come learn more about the proposed ordinance, ask questions, and share your feedback. Spanish interpretation will be available for community members at both meetings.

Join Friends of Prefab for a self-guided tour of 10 prefab homes in Altadena on October 25th — meet the residents who love living in them and the builders behind their design. ​Register at https://luma.com/xyixggnr.

​For residents from both the Eaton Fire and Palisades burn areas looking for rebuilding inspiration and guidance, this is your chance to put yourself in the shoes of a prefab homeowner.

​Beyond the opportunity to discuss build timeline, cost, and specific details with the builders themselves, homeowners will also have the opportunity to chat with local architects at the Eaton Fire Collaboratory to answer general questions about what "prefabricated construction" really is. Volunteers will also be able to point homeowners toward options that may match their rebuilding journey.

​This event has been organized via a collaboration between Friends of Prefab, LA Forum, and cityLAB-UCLA.

The public review period for the DEIR ends close of business day September 21, 2026.
