🎆🐾 Fireworks and summer heat can be scary—and dangerous—for our pets. Every year, far too many dogs go missing after being frightened by fireworks. Add in the extreme heat we've been having, and it's an important weekend to take a few extra precautions.

A little planning can save lives and keep families together. ❤️

When people think about animal welfare, they usually think about homeless pets in shelters.

And yes—that work is important.

But at Pets4Life Louisville, we're focused on something just as important: preventing pets from becoming homeless in the first place.

Every day, we work with families who love their pets but face barriers to veterinary care, transportation, spay/neuter services, vaccines, microchips, pet food, and other essential resources.

We believe a loved pet should never be surrendered due to a lack of resources.

For more than a decade, we've been working in Louisville neighborhoods to address the root causes of pet homelessness by helping people keep their Pets4Life.

The challenge? Many people still don't know we exist.

That's where YOU can help.
