The Music in Brown Park event in St. Matthews was enjoyed by many on Saturday. The weather was cooperative with just enough sun and an occasional light breeze. The food trucks stayed busy with good eats to go along with good music. The opening Band Corridor 64, featuring our own St. Matthews Police Chief, Barry Wilkerson, on drums was outstanding, while the Gee Bee’s, a tribute band, took everyone back in time with well known tunes and sound. It was a great time to be in St. Matthews.

Due to the current wet weather conditions, the resurfacing of the courts has been delayed. The original repair issue is believed to be connected to the presents of moisture under the court surface at the time of installation. Therefore, the contractor will require a minimum of 4 days of dry weather to ensure that the new court surface is installed properly and durable. We apologize for this unavoidable delay and appreciate your patience. It is the City’s intent to always provide safe playing surfaces for everyone to enjoy.
