It’s that time of year again!

The GIA invites you to join us for the 7th Annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Symposium on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the symposium will be from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, located at 3111 Erskine Street, Lubbock, Texas 79415.

The keynote presentation will be given by Dr. Zachary Baker from Arizona State University (ASU).

We will also have an interactive caregiver education area called Care In Action, where the GIA team will lead attendees in AGE-u-cate’s Dementia Live program, in addition to a live demonstration from Dr. Andre Newcome & Hima Doddoju, PT, MS, on how to properly utilize Gait/Transfer Belts in everyday caregiving. The GIA will also be providing free memory screenings throughout the event, for those who are interested. Light breakfast & lunch are provided.
