That is the power of literacy. Across NCPS, students are developing the reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills that help them understand the world and share their own ideas.

At home, simple moments make a difference, too. Read a favorite story together, ask your child about what they are reading, or encourage them to put their own ideas on paper.
