For Logan, finding where he belongs has meant finding people who understand him, friendships that make him feel accepted and a community where he can be himself.

Since joining Special Olympics Wisconsin in 2023, he’s found all of that and even a “Mario buddy” along the way. ❤️

His advice to others is simple: keep trying, do your best and don’t give up on finding the people and places that make you feel like you belong.

A little friendly competition for a pretty great cause! 🥎

The inaugural Battle of the Badges Softball Tournament is coming up September 18, and there are only a few roster spots left across Team Flame, Guardian, Torch and Blue & Gold!

Law Enforcement Torch Runners can register with no upfront cost and either fundraise the $600 team fee or cover it through a sponsorship.

Not taking the field? Pick a team and help them climb the fundraising leaderboard! Every donation supports Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes and brings your team one step closer to the Highest Fundraiser Award. 🏆

We’ll also celebrate the nominees and inductee into the Dale Brunner Hall of Fame, honoring the people who have helped make the Law Enforcement Torch Run what it is today.

Some friendships can change the way we see each other. Logan’s story is a great example.

In his Include Wisconsin story, Logan shares how living with autism shapes the way he communicates, the friendships that have helped him grow and what he’s learned from getting to know people for who they are.

One friendship started at bowling and, with a shared love of Mario, turned into something pretty special: a best friend and “Mario buddy.”

For Logan, inclusion means friendship, encouragement and giving everyone the space to be exactly who they are.

“They should be respected with kindness, and that way people can’t try to change the you that you are.” ❤️
