OUTAGE UPDATE: 1-25-26 - 5:00pm

We currently have 8,615 members without power, 326 outages, 7 broken poles and numerous section of lines that will have to be rebuilt. Our field personnel are continuing to work hard to assess the damage and run the lines so that we can restore service as quickly as possible. Some of the hardest hit areas are still not accessible or have been unsafe for our field personnel.

We have at least 14 ADDITIONAL CREWS coming in to assist with our restoration efforts that will be working alongside us tomorrow morning. We welcome Southeast Power from Virginia; additional crews from Davis H. Elliot Company and sister-coop Salt River Electric from Bardstown.

Due to the severity of the damage and number of outages - this will be a MULTI-DAY outage for the majority of our members affected. If you or a family member are dependent upon medical equipment -- seek other arrangements to keep your family safe. It's all hands on deck - as all Jackson Energy personnel and support staff are working diligently and as quickly as possible to care for our members.

***ATTENTION***

The outages are affecting our admin lines at the 911 center, but we are still able to receive 911 calls. With that being said, please limit those calls to emergencies only. Thank you!

⭐️ Today’s the day you prepped for! ❄️

If you don’t have to travel, please don’t. Staying off the roads helps keep you safe and allows crews to continue their work.

⚠️ If you must be out, use extreme caution and be sure you have an emergency car kit in your vehicle.

Stay safe, everyone.

OUTAGE UPDATE: 1/25/26 - 9:00am

We currently have 98 outages impacting 4,170 members. Our crews are actively responding and will work as safely and as quickly as possible to restore service as conditions allow. Please note that icy roads and hazardous weather may slow restoration efforts.

Cold Weather & Electrical Safety Tips:
• Stay away from any downed power lines and report them immediately
• Never use generators, grills, or propane heaters indoors
• Dress in layers and check on elderly neighbors and family members
• If using candles, never leave them unattended

If you experience an outage, reporting it through SmartHub is the easiest way to do so. Please limit travel if possible, and thank you for your patience as we work through this storm.

Manchester Police Officers would like to thank the Appalachian Christian Academy for coming by today and singing Christmas carols to our Officers and Clay Co 911 Dispatchers. It sure brightened up our day. Very much appreciated.
