🎃🎶 Pass the Pumpkin! 🥁🍂

It’s spooky season in Mrs. Whitney’s music class, and our 1st and 4th graders are getting into the fall spirit with the traditional folk song Pass the Pumpkin!

🎵 Our 1st graders are practicing singing while playing a variety of instruments, with our xylophone players working hard to keep a steady beat!

🥁 Our 4th graders are taking it a step further by adding sound effects with rain sticks, keeping the beat on drums and xylophones, and singing along to this fun fall favorite!

What a fun way to build musical skills, practice teamwork, and celebrate the season! 🎃🧡

⚡🔬 Science Comes to Life in 2nd Grade!

Our Manson Elementary second graders had a special visit today from the North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) to learn all about energy transformation!

Students explored how the flowing water of the Columbia River is used by hydroelectric dams to generate the electricity that powers our everyday lives! 💡🌊

A big thank you to the NCESD Science Department and our local Public Utility Districts (PUDs) for partnering to bring engaging, hands-on science education to our students!

We love seeing our Wildcats make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them! 💙

📚💙 Reading Buddies Are Back at Manson Elementary!

Our 2nd graders kicked off their Reading Buddies program with the Lake Chelan Rotary Club this week!

Through this special partnership, each student is paired with a Rotary volunteer who shares their time, encouragement, and love of reading. Students also receive books to take home and keep, helping build their own libraries and a love of reading that extends beyond the classroom! 📖

But this program is about so much more than books. It’s about building relationships, growing confidence, and surrounding our students with caring adults who are cheering them on.

A HUGE thank you to the Lake Chelan Rotary Club for continuing to invest in our students and our school community. We are grateful for your generosity and commitment to making a difference, one reader at a time! 💙

🔢🧮 MATH ON WHEELS COMES TO MANSON! 🚀💙

Math came to life at Manson School District last week! We were excited to welcome the Pacific Science Center Pacific Science Center (PacSci) for two days of hands-on learning with our elementary and middle school students!

Through interactive presentations, exhibits, and classroom workshops, students explored the exciting world of math in new ways! From solving puzzles and cracking codes to discovering patterns, shapes, and probability, our students got to see that math is everywhere! 🧩🎲🔍

👏 A special thank you to Ms. Farnsworth and Mrs. Cochran for their work organizing this incredible learning opportunity for our district!

💙 We also want to recognize our wonderful parent volunteers, Amanda Zuluaga, Justina Riippi, Mey Broome, and Jeana Steiner, for generously giving their time to help make these two days a success!

We love bringing experiences like this to Manson, where students can explore, discover, and connect classroom learning to the world around them!

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week at Manson Elementary! 🔥🚒

A big shoutout to our amazing school nurse, Mrs. Rogge, for partnering with the Manson Fire Department to make Fire Prevention Week a fun and educational experience for our students! ❤️

Throughout the week, firefighters Hei, Smith, and Lyman visited classrooms to teach students important lessons about fire safety and the importance of having a home escape plan. 🏠🚨

To wrap up the week, Firefighters Hei and Willoughby brought a fire truck to lunch recess, giving students a chance to explore it up close! 🚒👩‍🚒

A huge THANK YOU to our friends at the Manson Fire Department for making this special week possible. We are grateful for the community partnerships that help keep our students safe while making learning memorable!

We look forward to connecting with families to celebrate student progress and discuss goals for the year ahead.

Evening conferences:
• Monday: Middle School
• Tuesday: Elementary & High School
• Wednesday: All three schools

🗓️ Thursday: All teachers available by appointment.
