Forward progress stopped. Fire spotted approximately 1/4 mile out ahead of main fire. Ground resources continuing to arrive. Updated size estimate of 6 acres per air attack currently overhead.

Air Attack is now over the fire and 2 SEATs (Single Engine Air Tankers) are enroute per radio traffic.

The size of the fire is now 6 acres per WildCAD.

DFFM assumes command of Rolling Fire to support Mayer Fire Department. Two type 2 handcrews, one taskforce and miscellaneous overhead enroute. Air attack and SEATs requested to provide air support. Fire is estimated at 3 acres and impacting structures. Fire is spotting out ahead of the main fire due to 15+ mph winds.

There's a structure fire on Rolling Ridge Drive that has spread into the Wildland. Multiple units are on scene and many more in route. Please avoid the area. Evacuation go orders have been issued.

A fast moving brush fire has started South of Yarnell moving North on the East side of State Route 89. Evacuation orders have been sent. A Red Cross shelter is being set up at model Creek elementary in Peeples Valley.

Outstanding job by the Yavapai Fire Consortium Honor Guard and Deputy Chief Anthony Tunis at the remembrance ceremony for the Granite Mountain Hotshots today in Yarnell.

Today is Flag Day. Mayer Fire participated in a flag disposal ceremony at Foothills Ranch in Mayer. It was a very moving ceremaony and I know everyone appreciated Mayer Fire taking time to join us.
