Looking for a free lunch option for the kids this summer? ☀️

Free Summer Meals are available at Main Library for all youth 18 & under. Lunch is served from 12–1PM and snacks from 3–4PM, Monday through Thursday through July 30. Participation is open to all children and teens, regardless of school district.

The Summer Food Service Program at Main Library is offered in partnership with McAllen ISD.

🎉 Prize Pick-Up starts TODAY at all McAllen Public Library locations!

Families, don't forget to log your Summer Reading Challenge activities! Once your child completes 10 out of 15 challenges, it's time to celebrate all their hard work with a special prize.

🦕 Babies & Toddlers (Ages 0–5) will receive a dino plushie, 1 book, and an invitation to our Finale Party in July.

🐉 Children (Ages 6–11) will receive a dragon drawstring bag, 1 book, and an invitation to our Finale Party in July.

Looking for a fun way to make reading and learning part of your family's year? 📚🇺

Take part in the Texas American 250 Reading Challenge through December 31. Families can log 2,500 minutes (41.6 hours) of reading, Texas state park visits, and/or community service activities while celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary.

This self-guided challenge is open to all ages, and tracking logs are available at library service desks.
